Drawing and painting from life has been one of the most liberating additions to my daily practice. The experience is unpredictable and full of challenges - from shifting weather conditions to spontaneous interactions with passerby. These elements force you to respond quickly, to be present, and to make the most of the limited time you have to compose an artwork. It’s in these moments of urgency and connection that I find the most growth, both technically and emotionally. Working from life keeps my practice grounded and alive.
